  • annual ESFR publications (either a monograph or a journal).
  • voting right – with a weight of 3 votes.
  • conference registration discounts: one free representative for ESFR conferences.
  • network building opportunities within the ESFR community.
  • stimulating researchers, especially the young researchers, to become familiar with the exchange of family research output within Europe.

What happens with the yearly fees?

The European Society on Family Relations needs an institutional basis and therefore a solid financial minimum.
The yearly fees and contributions are necessary to:

  • build up an attractive ESFR network for family researchers, for example by maintaining a website.
  • cover organisational costs of the biannual conferences, including invited speakers, print costs, catering etc.
  • establish ESFR publications on a regular basis, including monographs and a new ESFR journal.
  • establish a long-term backbone to maintain our field family research as relevant both to science and policy making.
  • allow each institutional member to register one free representative for ESFR conferences.
